Can I have my weekends back now?

So, I'm sort of a whiner.
I'll admit that. But honestly, when I first transferred I had lovely weekends off...
but look at this!
now, I know that's sort of blurry. I apologize.
But for the most part this work schedule has everything for you.
From crack of dawn 5am. to way too late for a coffee shop at 12:45am.
What is that about!?
Now, I'm complaining, I know.
But let me clarify. I am 100% grateful that I have said job to keep me afloat.
And P.S. I sort of like making lattes and meeting new different people everyday. It's exciting in a way.
Coincidentally enough, my dictionary app on my phone is calling me a kvetch right now.
I guess you learn something new everyday.

Oh What A Night...

So that is supposed to finish with "and The Magnetic Zeros" however my iphone isn't that fancy, plus I was standing at an awkward angle.

Let me start off the night for you.
We started the evening with pasta, salad, and sourdough bread. AMAZING!
Tessa came over for dinner since she too was a part of the festivities.
So we ate, talked, and laughed. Classic.
We than headed our way over to our old house, my brother's house. Emma and I decided that Tessa should meet the kids and that we wanted hugs and kisses from the niece and nephews.
While we there we came across this...
Quite possibly the best double stack of stacked cups I've ever seen. My 7 year old nephew sort of amazes me.
So anyway, we left the children and headed towards the venue.
We get to the venue and my brother realizes that he doesn't have cigs, so we walked to the gas station for some smokes.
We head back to the venue and get our tickets scanned. We are officially in!
First stop: BOOZE!
My brother knew the bartender (naturally) so our 4 drinks were really cheap on top of the already $5 drink special. :D

the stage... AHHH! it was a pretty cool backdrop as you can see.

So it turns out the headliners were like 9 or 10 open mic acts. Now part of me thinks, "That's cool. The band is letting friends perform."
However the more the acts went on the more I think the whole crowd thought, "oh dear, let this be over with already! Bring on Edward Sharpe!!"
So after 9 or 10 different acts and about 3 long islands later there was still no Edward Sharpe!
What the heck man!!
Turns out the band asked to kill some more time. So the crowd stood and waited. We waited for a good 30 minutes I think.

And finally we got to hear the amazing sound of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros!
It was amazing! As my brother said it, "Pure energy" Which was not far from the truth.
So as the show goes on, the drinks keep being sucked down.
One of the what seemed to be 25 times I went to the restroom I found this...
Now you're thinking. "I don't want to see this!"
Well guess what? I DIDN'T WANT TO EITHER!
However because I was just buzzed enough and really had to pee it was not beneath me to use that stall.
It was a quick flush and unfortunately I just had to ignore the cup sitting there... but still AWKWARD. and yet still hilarious for me. :D

So finally, after hearing about how my brother slipped in the lobby and hurt his knee we were all joined together again for the encore.
The show ended with Edward Sharpe (real name Alex) stepped into the crowd and literally sat. In the crowd. At first everyone within a 5 ft. radius of him sat. But than that turned into almost the whole venue. This was one of the last sights of the night.
AMAZING!
